In addition to games, crafts & snacks, the classes also completed a community service project! The kids signed cards and sent chocolates which were dropped off at Genoa Township Fire Department & Genoa Police Department, Westerville Police Department, and all 3 Westerville Fire Department Stations. We thanked them for being the "Heart of Our City". Please see the attached photos from our drop-offs. Thanks again for your support! Last Call for Yearbook Orders! Reminder from the Fouse Health Clinic A quick reminder of clinic guidelines for sending student’s home from school: If your child is diagnosed with an illness by a doctor, please let the attendance clerk know what the diagnosis is when calling your child’s absence in. Thank you for your help! Fouse Health Clinic - Clothing Donations The school clinic has a great need for gently used clothing. If you have any unwanted clothing, please consider donating it to the clinic. Items in the greatest need include the following:
Winter Box Tops Contest Underway! A Box Tops contest flier and a labeled sandwich baggie was sent home with all students to help easily collect and submit the Box Tops you've been saving. The grade who collects the most Box Tops will receive a fun surprise, compliments of the PTO! The contest runs now through end of day,Friday, 2/23. Please review the contest flier for all details; a copy of the flier is attached for your reference. Pop Tabs Quarterly Contest - Sponsored by Student Council Each quarter, Student Council will be hosting a contest to see which classroom can collect the most Pop Tabs. A new contest is starting for the 3rd quarter so if you have any aluminum Pop Tabs from cans, we encourage you to send them in with your student & place them in the collection container in their classroom from now until March 7th. The winning class will win a sweet treat! The Pop Tabs are donated to The Ronald McDonald House of Central Ohio, which uses them to raise thousands of dollars for their program every year. For more information about this program, please visit http://rmhc-centralohio.org/get-involved/pop-tabs/. Student Council appreciates your support of this wonderful program! Reminder: Bundle Up for Outdoor Recess! Now that the cold winter weather has officially arrived, we would just like to remind all parents to ensure that your children are dressed appropriately for recess each day. Outdoor recess will take place daily unless the windchill is 20 degrees or below! Heavy coats, hats, gloves, mittens, etc. will ensure that students are warm and comfortable outside during the winter months. It is also a very good idea to write your child's name in their outdoor gear as well.
