The chart accompanying the story indicated Westerville City Schools achieved the following preliminary passing rates: Grade 9 English, 86.1%; Grade 8 Math, 74.1%; Grade 8 Science, 31.5%; Grade 6 Social Studies, 25%. WCSD officials dispute these figures printed by the Dispatch as they do not match preliminary results provided to the district. The data provided to WCSD indicate the following preliminary passing rates: Grade 9 English, 88.35%; Grade 8 Math, 76.61%; Grade 8 Science, 81.58%; Grade 6 Social Studies, 70.57%. Please know that all districts complete a process to review and verify test data before it becomes final. Our scores on these and other tests may increase slightly as a result of this verification process. Teacher of the Month Program In partnership with ThisWeek Community News, and through the support of Education First Credit Union, the WEF is pleased to provide community members with an opportunity to recognize outstanding Westerville City School District teachers through its new Teacher of the Month program. Teachers chosen to receive this honor will be featured in a full-page advertisement in the ThisWeek Westerville News & Public Opinion.
