As always, if would like to reach the PTO for any reason, please contact us at [email protected] and your email will be directed to the appropriate person. Also, we are always looking for parents who might be interested in getting more involved in the PTO, whether it is volunteering for one of our many committees or joining the Board in the coming years. If you would like learn more, please feel free to send us an email to get the conversation started. It has been a true pleasure not only being your PTO President for the past several months but also being part of the Fouse community for the past four years. From the staff to the students to the parents, being part of Fouse has been such a wonderful experience for my family. We will really miss you and wish you all nothing but the best! Go Foxes! Sincerely, Molly Conway Fouse PTO President Thanks for Attending the Pancake Breakfast! What a great turnout we had for our Pancake Breakfast...715 of you to be exact! Very busy but very fun! From the pancakes to the musical performances to the artwork to the face paint to the raffle...we hope all of our Fouse families had a wonderful time! We also saw lots of families taking advantage of our Selfie Photo Booth! Please feel free to share any of the selfies you took in the comments below. We really appreciate all of our staff, parent & student volunteers who worked so hard to help ensure this event was a success! Thanks so much! We would also like to thank the many businesses who donated so generously to our raffle table! Here is the list of our lucky raffle prize winners:
Congratulations to Ben Pipo for winning a cupcake lunch with Mr. Stranges & a friend...and a Fouse t-shirt, too! Finally, we hope you have a great time when you go to Disney, Trish Coffman...thanks for placing the winning bid in our Silent Auction for 4 tickets! If you were not present for the raffle, please email us at [email protected] to coordinate pick up of your prize. Reminder: Bundle Up for Outdoor Recess! Now that the cold winter weather has officially arrived, we would just like to remind all parents to ensure that your children are dressed appropriately for recess each day. Outdoor recess will take place daily unless the windchill is 20 degrees or below! Heavy coats, hats, gloves, mittens, etc. will ensure that students are warm and comfortable outside during the winter months. It is also a very good idea to write your child's name in their outdoor gear as well. Student Council – Upcoming Holiday Donation Drives In the coming weeks, please keep an eye out for communication regarding the following donation drives that are being coordinated by Student Council:
Details regarding these programs will be communicated as they get closer. Thanks to Student Council for all of that they do for our school and the community! Student Directory Now Available The Student Directory has been completed. Hard copies of the directory are available to be picked up in the office. For privacy purposes, the directory will not be posted online. Girls on the Run Volunteers Needed for Spring 2018 Girls on the Run (GOTR) is a professionally designed, award-winning program exclusively for girls in grades 3-5. It is much more than a running program. GOTR of Franklin County is a part of an international program that uses the joy of running and an inspiring curriculum to teach girls about self-esteem, positive body image, health and community service. The Spring 2018 season will start on Monday, March 5th and run THROUGH the week of Monday, May 14th, 2018. The Spring 2018 Girls on the Run 5k will be Sunday, May 20th, 2018. Coaches are needed for the Spring Season to continue this important program at Fouse! You do not need to be a "runner" to volunteer and all training is provided. As an incentive, all volunteers will be able to pre-register their daughter before registration opens for everyone else. Girls on the Run of Central Ohio will continue a lottery registration system for the spring 2018 season. This is the fairest way to conduct registration and alleviates the stress related to signing up at a specific time. Spring 2018 Lottery Registration period will occur in February, dates and time TBD. Please see the website for more info: https://www.girlsontheruncentralohio.org/Coach If you have any questions specific to the program at Fouse, you can contact Sharon Stachecki (GOTR site liaison for Fouse) at [email protected] Girl Scout Troop Leaders/Members Information If your daughter is interested in joining a Girl Scout troop here at Fouse and/or if you are interested in becoming a Troop Leader, please refer to the attached flier for details and contact information to get started.
