Our 5th graders have also been working with Mrs. Freado on beautiful African-themed art projects that they will be selling on Saturday morning, with all of the proceeds directly benefiting Action Against Hunger.
Spirit Wear will be for sale, and face painting and coloring are also part of the morning's fun! We look forward to seeing you and your family on Saturday!
Student Council - Spirit Day is Friday, 11/10
The 2nd Friday of each month is Student Council's Spirit Day! The theme for this month is "Favorite Sports Team". Student Council encourages all students to wear a jersey or shirt from their favorite team this Friday, 11/10!
Veterans Day - Honor Your Military Hero!
Westerville City School District has a proud tradition of honoring our nation’s veterans through various activities leading up to Veterans Day. We also have a tradition of supporting community service initiatives and fundraising activities. This year, we are upholding these traditions by assisting our local United Service Organizations (USO) and its efforts to support area veterans.
Through 11/8, will be creating a display of “My Hero” cards as part of Veterans Day activities. For just a $1 donation per card, you can honor your personal military heroes and have their names as part of this display. Funds raised will help sponsor the USO’s “5K Run/Walk for Heroes,” held in Westerville each May as part of Memorial Day weekend.
Cards will be displayed proudly at Fouse as we help support non-profit organization efforts to:

Girls on the Run Volunteers Needed for Spring 2018
Girls on the Run (GOTR) is a professionally designed, award-winning program exclusively for girls in grades 3-5. It is much more than a running program. GOTR of Franklin County is a part of an international program that uses the joy of running and an inspiring curriculum to teach girls about self-esteem, positive body image, health and community service.
The Spring 2018 season will start on Monday, March 5th and run THROUGH the week of Monday, May 14th, 2018. The Spring 2018 Girls on the Run 5k will be Sunday, May 20th, 2018.
Coaches are needed for the Spring Season to continue this important program at Fouse! You do not need to be a "runner" to volunteer and all training is provided.
As an incentive, all volunteers will be able to pre-register their daughter before registration opens for everyone else.
Girls on the Run of Central Ohio will continue a lottery registration system for the spring 2018 season. This is the fairest way to conduct registration and alleviates the stress related to signing up at a specific time.
Spring 2018 Lottery Registration period will occur in February, dates and time TBD.
Please see the website for more info:
If you have any questions specific to the program at Fouse, you can contact Sharon Stachecki (GOTR site liaison for Fouse) at firstname.lastname@example.org
