Hello, Fouse Parents! What a beautiful weekend! Here is this week's update, which contains information about upcoming events at Fouse, the weekly rotation schedule and other general tips and reminders: Schedule For The Week 4/23 (Mon)......C Day 4/24 (Tues).....D Day 4/25 (Wed).....E Day 4/26 (Thurs)....F Day 4/27 (Fri)........A Day Fouse Principal Robb Stranges is Sunrise Rotary's Service to Youth Recipient Principal Robb Stranges was surprised on April 17 when a group of Sunrise Rotarians visited Fouse Elementary School to present him with a Diane J. Conley Rotary Club of Westerville Sunrise Service to Youth award. He received a plaque from the club, along with cookies and a gift card donated by the Walmart Supercenter on Schrock Road. In addition, an American flag will be flown in his honor during Westerville’s Field of Heroes display. Stranges and other Service to Youth award winners will be recognized at a breakfast on May 16. According to his nominator, Stranges contributes to the growth and development of all, and is an inspiration to each student. He is a true professional, and pupils love to show him their work. They seek him out in a sad moment and they are always welcomed in a cozy, warm office. Stranges remembers to thank people, sending kind notes and supportive comments to staff and parents. During the holidays, he delivers gifts to families in need and encourages staff to “adopt” them. Stranges deserves the Service to Youth award, says his nominator, because he serves as a youth coordinator, father figure, social worker and staff advisor at Fouse Elementary School. Rotary Sunrise instituted Service to Youth awards seven years ago to recognize exceptional school employees who have made a special contribution to youth; have served as a positive role model for young people; and have demonstrated service above and beyond the call of duty in performing their job responsibilities. The award is named in honor of Sunrise Rotarian Diane Conley, retired Chief of Academic Affairs for Westerville City Schools.
