Chop 5 Salad Kitchen will donate 25% back to our school! Thank you for your support! Student Council – Canned Food Donation Drive Starts Monday, 11/27 Student Council is now collecting canned goods for Westerville Caring & Sharing and WARM through Thursday, 12/7. All donations are greatly appreciated! Thank you for your support! Winter Classroom Parties - Wednesday, 12/20 As the holiday season gets into full swing, the Lead Room Parents in each classroom are starting to plan your students' Winter Classroom Parties, which are scheduled for Wednesday, 12/20, at 2:30pm (10:30am for AM K classes). Due to the overwhelmingly positive response we have received from including an aspect of community service in our recent classroom parties, the decision has been made in partnership with Mr. Stranges to include community service in all parties going forward, starting with this Winter Classroom Party. During the party, this will simply mean that one of the stations will be dedicated to completing the community service project of the Lead Room Parents choosing and then the other standard games, crafts and snacks will take place at the remaining stations. Please keep an eye out for communication from them soon regarding any assistance they may need and if you would like to volunteer and/or attend during the party, the Lead Room Parents will be gathering a list of attendees so that they can let the office know who to expect that day. Our students are already looking forward to this memorable event - thanks for your support! Fouse Spirit Wear – Sweatshirt Pre-Order Form & Bundle Sale Throughout the holidays, we will be offering a Bundle Sale on select Spirit Wear items. Save with any of these deals:
**Adult sizes available in Short Sleeve Grey, same price** If you would like to order a Bundle or any Spirit Wear, please contact us at [email protected]. Also, thanks to everyone who placed an order for a Fouse sweatshirt. Sweatshirt orders have now been placed and will be delivered to school by mid-December; we will notify you when they are on their way. Reminder: Bundle Up for Outdoor Recess! Now that the cold winter weather has officially arrived, we would just like to remind all parents to ensure that your children are dressed appropriately for recess each day. Outdoor recess will take place daily unless the windchill is 20 degrees or below! Heavy coats, hats, gloves, mittens, etc. will ensure that students are warm and comfortable outside during the winter months. It is also a very good idea to write your child's name in their outdoor gear as well. Girls on the Run Volunteers Needed for Spring 2018 Girls on the Run (GOTR) is a professionally designed, award-winning program exclusively for girls in grades 3-5. It is much more than a running program. GOTR of Franklin County is a part of an international program that uses the joy of running and an inspiring curriculum to teach girls about self-esteem, positive body image, health and community service. The Spring 2018 season will start on Monday, March 5th and run THROUGH the week of Monday, May 14th, 2018. The Spring 2018 Girls on the Run 5k will be Sunday, May 20th, 2018.
