What a fun morning our Fouse Foxes and their Grands had! Thank you to the more than 350 guests who attended "Goodies with Grands" last Thursday, May 10th! We hope you enjoyed the breakfast treats! We would also like to thank you for your support of our Book Fair. We also really appreciate all of the parent volunteers who helped with both Goodies with Grands and the Spring Book Fair last week - we truly appreciate your help and could not have done it without you! Thank you all! Ken Ballinger to Retire - Thank You Cards Requested by Wednesday, May 23rd Fouse’s head custodian Ken Ballinger is retiring after this school year. Ken has been described as dedicated, caring, compassionate, professional, friendly, responsible and humble. He is all that, and more. His calm unflappable personality is invaluable at Fouse. Whatever each day may hold, Ken handles it quickly, effectively, professionally and with a smile. We would love to shower Ken with thank you cards made by the students. Please have your student make a thank you card and give it to their teacher by Wednesday, May 23rd. They will collected and given to Ken as a small token of saying thank you for his dedication to Fouse. We are going to miss Ken but wish him well in all his future endeavors. Student Council - Pop Tab Contest Winner! Congratulations to Mrs. Kahler's 5th grade class for winning this quarter's Pop Tab contest! Their prize for winning was cookies. The Pop Tabs are donated to The Ronald McDonald House of Central Ohio, which uses them to raise thousands of dollars for their program every year. For more information about this program, please visit http://rmhc-centralohio.org/get-involved/pop-tabs/. We encourage you to save your Pop Tabs over the summer so that you may contribute them to the contest, which will start again next school year. Student Council appreciates your support of this wonderful program! 5th Grade - End of Year Activities What an exciting, emotional time for our 5th grade students...the end of their last year at Fouse! As the year comes to an end, there are a few dates that we would like to bring to the attention of all 5th grade parents:
Attention 4th Grade Parents - Seeking Co-Chair for 5th Grade Sign Committee for 2018-2019 The PTO is seeking a Co-Chair for the 5th Grade Sign Committee for next school year. As you will see at the end of the year, all 5th grade students are welcomed to school on their very last day at Fouse with a personalized poster created by their parents out on the drive in front of the building. Here is a brief description of the Chair role: 5th Grade Sign Committee Chair -
Please note that this role will not actually begin until late March 2019 when it will be time to start updating the communication to be sent out to 5th grade parents. The PTO would simply like to go ahead and identify a Co-Chair now, so that we are fully prepared to properly execute this tradition when the time comes. If you are interested in volunteering for this Co-Chair position, please reply and let us know! We really appreciate your help in ensuring that the 5th graders have a wonderful experience as their time at Fouse comes to a close. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
