Hello, Fouse Parents! We hope that you had a very nice weekend! As we mentioned last week, you will now be receiving email updates that contain information about upcoming events at Fouse, the weekly rotation schedule and other general tips and reminders to help you more easily navigate the busy, fun school year ahead! Here is this week's update: Schedule For The Week 9/11 (Mon)......E Day 9/12 (Tues).....F Day, Girl Scouts Recruitment Night, Westerville North High School, 7pm 9/13 (Wed)......A Day 9/14 (Thurs).....B Day 9/15 (Fri)..........C Day, School Picture Day Walk-A-Thon Update It's been great week of contributions to the 7th annual Walk-A-Thon! As of Friday, 9/8, the total we've collected is $3,485! We are off to a great start and on our way to reaching goal of $20,000! Just a reminder that the Walk-a-Thon is on Friday, September 22nd. This is your chance to have fun with your friends, get fit and help make this a great year for Fouse! With everyone’s help, we can make the Fouse Walk-a-Thon a fun day for the whole school and our biggest fundraiser of the year! Details on the Walk-a-Thon were sent home with your student(s) on Friday, August 25th. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to read through the two letters inside the envelope that was sent home; copies of those letters are also attached to this email for your reference. One of those letters is a Business Donation Letter - if you know of any business that might be willing to donate, we would really appreciate you reaching out to them and providing them with this letter. Soliciting business donations are critical to successful fundraising for this event and we greatly appreciate any assistance you may be able to provide with this! The following classes are in currently in the lead with the most class participation: 1. Eyerman, 4th grade 2. Kellogg, 4th grade 3. Ubry, 1st grade And these classes are in the lead with the highest dollar amount in donations collected so far: 1. Spurlock, Kindergarten 2. Lipari, 3rd grade 3. Kellogg, 4th grade The classes that bring in the highest dollar amount and have the most participation will get their choice of a Silly String Party or a Minute to Win It Party during an extra recess! Good luck to all classes! If you would like, donations may also be made online via PayPal/credit card. It's a great way for family and friends who live out of town to help contribute to this great cause! If you choose to donate electronically, please ensure that your child's name and their teacher's name is noted so that they receive credit toward any prizes that they may earn. http://fousepto.weebly.com/walk-a-thon.html Volunteers are key to the success of this event! At this time, we are currently in need of help counting donations and distributing prizes each week. If you are available, please follow this link to sign up: https://m.signupgenius.com/#!/showSignUp/30e0d45a4ac2aaafe3-walkathon1/8765062. We will also need volunteers on the day of the event. Sign ups for that will be communicated in the coming weeks. Girl Scouts Recruitment Night, September 12th If you are interested in getting involved in Girl Scouts this year, please attend this informational meeting at Westerville North High School from 7-8pm. http://www.wcsoh.org/docs//district/_virtualbackpack/westerville_troop_formaiton_flyer_2017.pdf?id=564502 Fouse Spirit Wear - Get Yours Today! Thanks to everyone who purchased Spirit Wear recently at Back to School Day, Open House and the Fouse Family Picnic! If you would like to purchase one of our new styles of Fouse shirts, a drawstring bag or water bottle, please refer to the details on our PTO website and contact us at [email protected] to place your order. http://fousepto.weebly.com/spirit-wear.html Time to Update Your Forms - Parent Portal If you have not already done so, please be sure to promptly log in to your Parent Portal ( http://www.westerville.k12.oh.us/administration/108) to verify and update the information on the ECollect Forms tab. Several field trips are coming up and having up to date emergency contacts and medical information is crucial especially when students are leaving the building. Other forms include permission for walking field trips and photograph permissions. It really doesn't take long to do and safety information for your children is very important for Fouse to have. If you have any questions regarding the completion of your forms, please contact Amy Emler at [email protected]. Donations Requested - Neckties for Music Class If you have any old neckties in your closet that you're looking to donate, Mrs. Stout would really appreciate you sending them into school with your student! She needs them for an upcoming movement activity for First Grade. They don't have to be in great condition, any old tie will do! Donations can be dropped off in the music room. Thanks very much for your help with this!
