Hello, Fouse Parents! We hope you've had a great weekend! As a reminder, you will now be receiving email updates that contain information about upcoming events at Fouse, the weekly rotation schedule and other general tips and reminders to help you more easily navigate the busy, fun school year ahead! Here is this week's update: Schedule For The Week 9/18 (Mon)......D Day 9/19 (Tues).....E Day 9/20 (Wed)......F Day 9/21 (Thurs).....A Day 9/22 (Fri)..........B Day, Walk-A-Thon during your child's recess! Walk-A-Thon Update It's almost here...our Fouse Walk-A-Thon is this Friday, 9/22! Thanks to your generosity, we have currently raised $7,591, which is not quite halfway to our goal of $20,000 but we still have a week to go & know we can make it! We truly appreciate your support...from The Leader in Me to field trips to SuperGames to alternative education opportunities at Fouse, the donations collected from the Walk-A-Thon ensure that we have the funding necessary for all of our students to take part in these valuable programs and experiences. We are excited to announce that for this year's Walk-A-Thon, ALL Fouse students will receive a free t-shirt! In partnership with the PTO, two businesses - Shirck Orthodontics and Northstar Family Dental - donated $500 each towards these shirts for our students. We truly thank them for their support of Fouse and encourage you to consider them the next time you and your family are in need of the services they provide. Shirts will be sent home with all students on Tuesday, 9/19, and we ask that ALL STUDENTS WEAR THEIR SHIRT TO SCHOOL ON FRIDAY, 9/22, FOR THE WALK-A-THON!!!! In addition to Shirck and Northstar, we would also like to thank these other businesses who have kindly donated to the Walk-A-Thon to date:
If you would like to make a donation, we encourage you to do so early this week! The drawing for the iPad Mini will take place on Friday, so we ask that your donations are submitted by Thursday, 9/21, so that we can ensure all students who donated $100 or more are included! Donations may also be made online via PayPal. It's a great way for family and friends who live out of town to help contribute to this great cause! If you choose to donate electronically, please ensure that your child's name and their teacher's name is noted so that they receive credit toward any prizes that they may earn. http://fousepto.weebly.com/walk-a-thon.html The following classes are in currently in the lead with the most class participation: 1. Hanley - 50% 2. Eyerman - 45% 3. Considine - 43% And these classes are in the lead with the highest dollar amount in donations collected so far: 1. Spurlock - $786 2. Kreuzer - $747 3. Good luck to all classes! Calling all volunteers!!! We need volunteers to help out in 1-hour shifts between 10:30am and 2:30pm. The job is easy, fun and won’t take too much of your day. Volunteer shifts include decorating, being available for first aid, distributing popsicles, greeting/directing parents and walking classes to and from the track. You can even sign up to be the Fouse Fox, our mascot! Your children have worked very hard to raise money for their school and this Walk is their reward: a chance for them to celebrate their fundraising efforts. If you’re coming to walk with their child, maybe sign up to help for that grade. Here is the approximate schedule of when each grade will be walking:
We appreciate ALL the help we’ve already received and just need a few more to make this day a success. Several field trips are coming up and having up to date emergency contacts and medical information is crucial especially when students are leaving the building. Other forms include permission for walking field trips and photograph permissions. It really doesn't take long to do and safety information for your children is very important for Fouse to have. If you have any questions regarding the completion of your forms, please contact Amy Emler at [email protected]. Donations Requested - Neckties for Music Class If you have any old neckties in your closet that you're looking to donate, Mrs. Stout would really appreciate you sending them into school with your student! She needs them for an upcoming movement activity for First Grade. They don't have to be in great condition, any old tie will do! Donations can be dropped off in the music room. Thanks very much for your help with this!
