Creativity Showcase Kicks Off
The Fouse PTO has kicked off the annual Creativity Showcase for 2014-15, giving students the opportunity to put their creative talents to work!  Students may submit works in three categories – Photography, Visual Arts, and Creative Writing.  Awards will be given in each category by grade – three awards total per grade.  Submissions are due by January 23.  Details, rules and submission forms are available on the PTO website.  http://fousepto.weebly.com/creativity-showcase.html

GEM Award Nominations Sought by Westerville Parent Council
The deadline for GEM Award nominations is Monday, February 9, 2015.  Sponsored by Roush Honda and Westerville Parent Council, the annual GEM Awards, which stands for “Great Educator Mentors” in Westerville Schools, honors community members, volunteers, teachers and staff who consistently go above and beyond for students in Westerville schools.

Classroom Parties 12/19
Please be sure to inform your classroom’s lead parent if you plan to volunteer and attend the party on 12/19 at 2:30 p.m. The volunteer list will be sent to the office at noon on Friday, December 12th.  If you have not advised your room parent by noon on 12/12 that you plan to attend, your name will not be on the list unless you contact the office directly.  Further, please be advised that you must have completed a volunteer form and submitted that to the office in order to permit your attendance at the party.  If you have not done so already, please contact Laura Goodwin (secretary) to request a form.  Laura’s email is GoodwinL@westerville.k12.oh.us

Twice per year, we have contests at the school to collect box tops.  The first contest will be in the fall.  The second contest will be in the winter.  The winning class receives a special treat at lunch for bringing in the most box tops.
