F Day Meet & Greet with Dr. Kellogg, February 3 Join us on February 3 at 7:00pm for a very special visit from WCS Superintendent, Dr. John Kellogg. Dr. Kellogg will give a brief overview of District Strategic Initiatives, and then offer a Q&A period for discussion. The meet & greet will follow our regularly scheduled PTO meeting. All students received a Box Tops contest flier and a labeled sandwich baggie to help easily collect and submit the Box Tops you've been saving. The class in each grade who collects the most Box Tops will receive a fun surprise, compliments of the PTO! The contest runs now through end of day, Wednesday, 2/24. Please review the contest flier for all details. Also, if you're looking for a way to get some additional Box Tops, Giant Eagle is currently running a promotion through 2/5. This promotion involves taking a photo of your receipt and submitting it electronically to www.btfe.com/bonusoffer in exchange for 20 eBoxTops. To ensure your student's grade receives credit for these 20 eBoxTops, please print the email confirmation you receive upon submission of your receipt, write your student's name/teacher/grade on the printed email and place it in the bucket in the lobby along with any other Box Tops you're turning in for the contest. Please contact Casey Knowles ([email protected]) with any questions. GEM Award Nominations Due February 5 It's time for the annual GEM Awards Program! Now in year thirteen, the GEM Awards program honors adult volunteers and staff in Westerville Schools who go above and beyond for students during the previous year. The Nomination period runs now through the end of the day on Friday, February 5, 2016, and winners will be announced in mid-March. The GEM Awards Celebration will take place on Monday, April 18, 7:00pm at Westerville North High School. In addition to individual recipients, nominations are being requested for the Terry Gordon Business Award, presented by our sponsor and GEM partner, Roush Honda. Please consider nominating a business or non-profit organization that devotes considerable time, talent and/or treasure to your school building and/or the district. The program is conducted by three current/former undercover detectives, who possess over fifty years of combined narcotics experience. The GOAL of Street Smart is to provide current and up-to-date narcotics information to those individuals who deal with today’s youth on a daily basis. Topics include:

WCSD offers Half-Day Kindergarten and All-Day Kindergarten classes within each home school.
